Finding Love
Some people say that they find love
As if it were an object hidden under a rock
A mystery that finally is unravelled
A destination reached upon a road long travelled
Some people say that they find love
In places where they least expect
At times unplanned and unremembered
With people they never thought could be
Yet look into their eyes and love is what you'll see
Some people say they find love
A love that is grateful, hopeful, a deep quiet sort
The kind that has end ineffable meaning
One that knows not the beginning or an ending
Just the sort of love that is unexplainable, overpowering and overwhelming
I say that finding love is no easy task
Life hands you no maps, no clues, no directions,
Just an empty long winding track
A journey you have to make with unexpected twist and turns
Which sometimes ends with broken hearts and scalding burns
Then there are those blessed times that youu find someone
And the searching ends and there is purpose
To live to learn to enjoy the other
To fall hopelessly in love and to finally surrender
Surrender to a love that has been found
Two hearts meant for each other, forever bound.
